JP Healthcare Recruitment is currently recruiting for a dedicated Residential Child Care Worker to join a children's residential service in Hampshire supporting young people with Learning Disabilities. This is a rewarding opportunity to help create a safe, nurturing, and stable environment where children can thrive, develop resilience, and achieve positive outcomes.
The Role
- Support children and young people with Learning Disabilities in all aspects of daily living
- Build positive relationships and celebrate achievements and progress
- Support emotional, physical, and mental wellbeing
- Assist with individualised care plans and daily routines
- Promote independence, life skills, and educational development
- Manage challenging behaviours in a therapeutic and supportive manner
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Undertake key worker responsibilities and attend professional meetings where required
- Support children both within the home and in the community
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People, or willingness to work towards
- Experience working with children with Learning Disabilities and/or Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties
- Resilient, caring, and passionate about supporting young people
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Full UK Driving Licence desirable
