JP Healthcare Recruitment is currently recruiting for a dedicated Residential Child Care Worker to join a children's residential service in Hampshire supporting young people with Learning Disabilities. This is a rewarding opportunity to help create a safe, nurturing, and stable environment where children can thrive, develop resilience, and achieve positive outcomes.

The Role

  • Support children and young people with Learning Disabilities in all aspects of daily living
  • Build positive relationships and celebrate achievements and progress
  • Support emotional, physical, and mental wellbeing
  • Assist with individualised care plans and daily routines
  • Promote independence, life skills, and educational development
  • Manage challenging behaviours in a therapeutic and supportive manner
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Undertake key worker responsibilities and attend professional meetings where required
  • Support children both within the home and in the community

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People, or willingness to work towards
  • Experience working with children with Learning Disabilities and/or Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties
  • Resilient, caring, and passionate about supporting young people
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence desirable
