As a Structural Design Engineer, you\’ll be integral in to my client\’s dynamic team, bringing with you a minimum of 2 years of experience in design-focused roles within UK construction projects. Based in the Birmingham office, you\’ll have a stimulating career, working on diverse projects and crafting bespoke engineering solutions for our clients.
Your Responsibilities:
- Tackle a range of stimulating projects, applying your expertise to diverse challenges.
- Develop compelling designs and technical drawings, simplifying complex solutions for client understanding.
- Ensure flawless planning, design, and execution of temporary works, leveraging cutting-edge software and tools.
- Conduct site visits, detailed surveys, and innovate solutions prioritizing safety.
- Offer crucial technical support to colleagues, managing multiple projects independently even under tight deadlines.
- Seize opportunities for learning and growth, mastering new skills and staying abreast of industry standards.
- Promote safety by implementing robust strategies in line with Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015 (CDM2015).
Essential Experience, Skills & Knowledge:
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, with a preference for those working towards Chartered Status with the ICE or IStructE.
- Strong mathematical and numerical skills.
- Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD.
- Ability to interpret and comprehend engineering plans, section details, and general arrangements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced IT proficiency
