Our client is a successful and highly experienced Building Services Consulting Engineers practice. Founded in its current form in 2012, the practice was set up as a true collective; with a group of Engineers coming together to provide a highly motivated approach, offering a diverse multi-disciplined skills base, covering all elements of the building services sector.
Their team delivers design solutions for new build and refurbishment projects. They understand that maintaining services in occupied premises during refurbishment projects is critical and they have developed high levels of understanding of the way in which their designs can be implemented and phased to ensure that this is achieved.
Key Responsibilities- Working on a variety of interesting projects across varied sectors
- Being involved in all stages of the projects
- Working closely with others, in a team environment, to achieve a common goal
- Producing drawings and specifications
- Carrying out design calculations utilising both manual and computer techniques
- Liaison with the other design department members to understand client’s requirements and select solutions, plant and equipment appropriately with some guidance
- Representing the company at certain project meetings
- Continued Professional Development (CPD) and continue to learn about new technologies and developments
- Sound understanding of other disciplines
- An achieved 2.1 or above, HND, HNC, IMechE or CIBSE accredited degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or similar.
- Ideally 1 years’ experience of design in building services, post qualification completion
- Experience of Software design using - Microsoft suite of programmes, Relux/Dialux, Amtech, Revit (Preferred)
- Knowledge of British and European Standards, Building Regulations documents etc.
- Knowledge of HTM’s would also be of a benefit but not essential.
- Membership (CIBSE, IET)
- An understanding and specification of incorporating various renewable technologies.
- Must have an understanding of the building services industry. (Preferred 1 years’ experience)
