Job Description

Excellent opportunity to join a medium sized consultancy with big expansion plans.\\n\\nMy client has an excellent opportunity for a principal geotechnical engineer looking for a new challenge with a successful ground investigation company, or for an aspiring experienced engineer looking to move into a position of management in a growing company.\\n\\nAn experienced geotechnical engineer is required to join the geotechnical engineering division operating from the company’s Cambridge office, to take a leading role. Working with an established department of engineers on a range of ground investigation projects across East Anglia, the East Midlands and further afield. The company provide specialist information on ground conditions for projects in a range of sectors (commercial and residential developments, healthcare, education, energy, infrastructure, highways, flood alleviation and community projects).\\nCandidates would typically have a masters degree in a relevant subject, at least six years’ relevant experience in geotechnical site investigation and be competent in contaminated land assessment, hold a full UK driving license, have excellent skills communicating with colleagues and clients (both written and verbal), and experience as a line manager.\\n\\nYou could be a chartered geologist or working towards chartership, and be well-practiced with routine geotechnical assessments (e.g.

providing foundation recommendations, advice on suitable ground improvement and earthworks methods, slope stability and settlement modelling).\\n\\nThe role will be hybrid, this will include a mixture of client meetings, site supervision and networking. The role will include the specification, operation, management and interpretation of geotechnical and geoenvironmental investigations, tendering for projects and frameworks, and working with the senior management team to continue the planned growth of the business.\\n\\nThis is a progressive employer offering an excellent remuneration package, including: a negotiated salary, profit sharing and company pension scheme, and the benefit of being part of a busy and vibrant group of professionals.\\n\\nFor more information, please get in touch as soon as possible
