We’re seeking an experienced Laboratory Manager to lead a busy analytical team in Newcastle. This role is central to delivering high-quality asbestos testing, environmental analysis, and driving innovation.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and inspire a team of 10+ laboratory staff
- Ensure compliance with ISO 17025 and UKAS standards
- Oversee workflow, sample preparation, and analytical procedures
- Deliver accurate results on time to meet client expectations
- Drive improvements in performance, customer service, and technical capability
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years’ experience in asbestos testing or chemistry labs
- Proven leadership managing teams of 10+ staff
- Strong knowledge of ISO 17025 and quality systems
- Experience with UKAS audits and accreditation processes
- Budget and resource management expertise
Desirable: RSPH Level 4 Certificate and experience developing new laboratory methods
