We're looking for a motivated Graduate Transport Planner to join our growing team in Newcastle upon Tyne.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, receive structured training, and work on a diverse range of residential, commercial, education, and mixed-use developments across the UK.
You'll work alongside experienced transport planners and engineers, developing the technical and professional skills needed for a successful career in consultancy.
The Role
As a Graduate Transport Planner, you'll support the delivery of a variety of transport planning projects, including:
- Assisting with the preparation of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and Travel Plans.
- Analysing traffic and transport data.
- Supporting planning applications with technical reports and documentation.
- Undertaking site visits and traffic surveys.
- Using industry software and mapping tools to support project work.
- Working closely with colleagues, clients, and local authorities.
- Contributing to projects from inception through to completion.
About You
We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, analytical, and keen to learn.
You'll ideally have
- A degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, Urban Planning, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of GIS, Auto CAD, or transport modelling software is advantageous but not essential.
- A full UK driving licence is beneficial but not essential.
