We’re working with a dynamic, well-established medium-sized M&E consultancy in London that is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join its growing team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer who wants more than just another design role. You’ll be given genuine responsibility, the chance to work on exciting projects and the opportunity to make a real impact within a growing consultancy.
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering mechanical building services designs from concept through to completion
- Producing detailed calculations, specifications and technical documentation
- Working across a range of exciting commercial, residential and mixed-use projects
- Liaising with clients, architects, contractors and other engineering disciplines
- Attending design and project meetings
- Providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers
- Taking ownership of your projects and ensuring designs are delivered to a high standard
- Helping develop innovative and energy-efficient engineering solutions
What we’re looking for:
You’ll be an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in building services consultancy. Ideally, you’ll have:
- Strong mechanical building services design experience
- Experience working within an M&E consultancy
- Good knowledge of UK building services standards and regulations
- Excellent technical and communication skills
- The ability to manage projects and work independently
- Experience with relevant design and calculation software
- CIBSE membership or a relevant engineering qualification would be advantageous
