You will be working as part of a Design team and responsible for the provision of structural drawings, specifications, design, reports and attending external / internal meetings. Working with external partners on state of the art design projects including new build and refurb in London and the South-East. There is an emphasis on building design projects, with work spanning across all major buildings types, with a particular focus on residential sectors. Responsibilities Completing a range of design work to client specification across residential and commercial projects Meeting client’s requirements and project time frames Working on a big range of projects, designs and materials used Structural Engineer on projects large and small. Liaise with and lead other members of the design team to achieve a coordinated design solution that meets the Clients objectives. Structural engineering assessment and inspection of new and existing properties in steel, concrete, masonry and timber. Undertake analysis and design using a range of software packages including TEDDS Ensure that quality and consistency of technical output (drawings, reports etc.) is maintained. Prepare high quality technical reports including structural surveys. About the candidate: Proficient in drawings and CAD software Ability to confidently liaise with clients Able to present technical information clearly Working under pressure and to tight timeframes Able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative Familiar with relevant codes of practice, Eurocodes and British Standards that apply to the design of cold formed sections and building structures. Experience of 2D & 3D modelling software would be advantageous. Self-driven and results-oriented with a positive outlook and a focus on high quality work. Proven ability to meet tight deadlines. Full driving licence would be beneficial.
