Excellent opportunity for a raw graduate looking for a first role in the industry! My client is looking to expand their monitoring team. The work is technical and requires a high level of dexterity to set up and install sensitive instrumentation typically in a busy operational construction site environment. You will have a general understanding of specification compliance and demonstrate record keeping skills. The work does include working away at times to meet the projects aims. Reporting to Management and/or the Technician / Senior Technician.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Undertaking projects in accordance with H&S and operational aims of the project
  • Assist with preparing, installing of instrumentation including fibre optics
  • Gain an appreciation of the dataloggers and how to set them up
  • Protect and maintain sensitive monitoring equipment
  • Assist in meeting all project deadlines
  • Assist colleagues with drafting H&S documents
  • Assist in completing site diaries and instrumentation records accurately and promptly
  • Maintain daily communication with colleagues and management

Functional Responsibilities

  • Promote the company’s SHEQ and culture
  • Protect the company’s intellectual property
  • Deliver projects that meet SHEQ, and technical aims
  • Understand how to maintain relationships with clients

Requirements

  • BSc degree level qualification in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, etc.) / Geology / Engineering Geology
  • Appreciation of health and safety matters
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • UK driving license
  • Basic Microsoft Office IT skills
  • CSCS card - This can be applied for if successful
