Due to continued project growth, a respected engineering and environmental consultancy is seeking a Senior Engineering Geologist to join its Glasgow office. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to work across a broad portfolio of geotechnical and geo-environmental projects throughout Scotland and the UK.
The successful candidate will take a leading role in site investigations, technical reporting, and project coordination while working within an experienced and supportive ground engineering team.
Main Duties- Managing ground investigation programmes from planning through to completion
- Supervising drilling, trial pitting, sampling, and site activities
- Producing and reviewing factual and interpretative reports
- Assessing geotechnical risks and ground conditions
- Supporting contaminated land and environmental assessments
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal design teams
- Providing guidance and support to junior staff members
- Degree qualified in Engineering Geology, Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or similar
- Solid consultancy experience within ground investigation or geotechnical engineering
- Strong report-writing and technical interpretation skills
- Experience overseeing fieldwork and site operations
- Good understanding of UK standards and health & safety practices
- Full UK driving licence
- Salary up to £45,000
