Due to continued project growth, a respected engineering and environmental consultancy is seeking a Senior Engineering Geologist to join its Glasgow office. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to work across a broad portfolio of geotechnical and geo-environmental projects throughout Scotland and the UK.

The successful candidate will take a leading role in site investigations, technical reporting, and project coordination while working within an experienced and supportive ground engineering team.

Main Duties
  • Managing ground investigation programmes from planning through to completion
  • Supervising drilling, trial pitting, sampling, and site activities
  • Producing and reviewing factual and interpretative reports
  • Assessing geotechnical risks and ground conditions
  • Supporting contaminated land and environmental assessments
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal design teams
  • Providing guidance and support to junior staff members
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Engineering Geology, Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or similar
  • Solid consultancy experience within ground investigation or geotechnical engineering
  • Strong report-writing and technical interpretation skills
  • Experience overseeing fieldwork and site operations
  • Good understanding of UK standards and health & safety practices
  • Full UK driving licence
