Our client is a well-established consultancy specialising in geotechnical, environmental, structural, and design services. They support both large and small developers across a broad range of sectors including commercial, retail, residential (from private individuals to major PLCs), education, healthcare, social housing, transport, and leisure & hospitality.
They are currently seeking a Geologist or Engineering Geologist to join their head office team in Burton-on-Trent.
Key Responsibilities:- Extensive fieldwork focus for the first 2 years
- Supervision and management of site investigations
- Preparation of Health & Safety documentation
- Degree in Earth Sciences or related discipline
- Minimum 2 years of UK-based fieldwork experience (site investigation supervision and logging)
- Familiarity with British soils and geology, logging to current British Standards
- Experience in contaminated land assessment and geotechnical investigation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Team-oriented with adaptability to dynamic site conditions
- Physically fit and willing to work outdoors, away from home, and during unsociable hours
- Full UK Driving Licence (Category B manual)
- Must have the right to work in the UK
- Competitive salary of £40,000
