We’re working with a well-established, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy in Edinburgh that’s looking to add a Geotechnical Engineer to their growing team. If you enjoy solving ground-related challenges and want to work on varied projects across Scotland and the UK — this could be for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Planning and overseeing site investigations
  • Interpreting ground investigation data
  • Writing clear, concise factual and interpretative reports
  • Designing foundations, retaining walls and earthworks
  • Carrying out slope stability and settlement analysis
  • Collaborating with structural, civil and environmental teams

From housing developments to major infrastructure schemes, no two projects will be the same.

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology
  • Around 2–5 years’ consultancy experience
  • Strong report writing and analytical skills
  • Solid understanding of UK geotechnical standards
  • Working towards Chartership (ICE or GeolSoc)
  • A proactive, team-focused attitude
