We’re working with a well-established, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy in Edinburgh that’s looking to add a Geotechnical Engineer to their growing team. If you enjoy solving ground-related challenges and want to work on varied projects across Scotland and the UK — this could be for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Planning and overseeing site investigations
- Interpreting ground investigation data
- Writing clear, concise factual and interpretative reports
- Designing foundations, retaining walls and earthworks
- Carrying out slope stability and settlement analysis
- Collaborating with structural, civil and environmental teams
From housing developments to major infrastructure schemes, no two projects will be the same.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology
- Around 2–5 years’ consultancy experience
- Strong report writing and analytical skills
- Solid understanding of UK geotechnical standards
- Working towards Chartership (ICE or GeolSoc)
- A proactive, team-focused attitude
