We are recruiting on behalf of a growing, purpose-led environmental consultancy in Bristol. They provide geo-environmental and geotechnical services to support safe, sustainable development across construction, infrastructure, and energy projects.
We are looking for a Geo-Environmental / Geotechnical Engineer with around 2 years’ consultancy experience to join their Bristol team. This role offers a mix of fieldwork, technical reporting, and project support, with mentoring from senior staff.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with site investigations, environmental monitoring, and geotechnical testing
- Support Phase 1, 2, and 3 assessments, including data collection and analysis
- Prepare technical reports and interpretive summaries
- Assist in the development of conceptual site models and risk assessments
- Support project management tasks such as schedules, budgets, and client liaison
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Learn and develop under the guidance of senior geotechnical and geo-environmental staff
- Degree in Geology, Civil/Environmental Engineering, or related discipline
- Around 2 years’ experience in geo-environmental or geotechnical consultancy
- Basic understanding of contaminated land, ground investigation, and UK guidance (CLR11, LCRM)
- Familiarity with site investigation techniques and laboratory data analysis
- Good technical report writing and communication skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively
- Full UK driving licence
- Salary up to £35,000 per annum
