Mechanical Building Services Engineers – exciting opportunity with an established building services business.
An established and growing building services engineering business is looking to strengthen its design team with a Mechanical Design Engineer and Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to work on a varied portfolio of commercial, residential and/or industrial building services projects, taking designs from initial concept through to detailed design and delivery.
The Role
Depending on experience, you'll be involved in
- Mechanical building services design across a range of projects.
- HVAC, heating, ventilation and cooling system design.
- Domestic water services and associated mechanical systems.
- Producing mechanical design drawings and specifications.
- Carrying out heating and cooling load calculations.
- Equipment and plant selection.
- Producing design calculations and technical documentation.
- Working with architects, contractors, clients and other design disciplines.
- Supporting projects from concept and tender through to construction.
- Reviewing designs and providing practical engineering solutions.
- Attending site visits and design/project meetings where required.
At Senior level, you'll take greater ownership of projects, provide technical leadership and support more junior members of the team.
The Ideal Candidate
We're keen to hear from Mechanical Building Services Engineers with
- Previous experience in mechanical building services design.
- Good knowledge of HVAC and associated mechanical systems.
- Experience working on building services projects.
- Strong Auto CAD and/or Revit MEP experience.
- Understanding of relevant UK building services standards and regulations.
- Good technical and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- HNC/HND, degree or equivalent qualification in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering.
Senior candidates should have demonstrable experience managing mechanical building services designs and delivering projects from concept through to completion.
