We are recruiting for a Proactive Sales Executive to join the friendly, supportive team at our Glarryford branch. The Proactive Sales Executive plays an important role in supporting the growth of the branch by building strong relationships with both new and existing customers. As part of the Internal Sales team, you will be at the centre of day-to-day customer engagement, helping to deliver the right products and solutions while supporting overall branch performance.

What will I be doing?

  • Developing customer accounts (new and existing) by understanding needs and offering suitable solutions
  • Responding to customer enquiries, quotations and orders in a timely and accurate way
  • Working closely with branch colleagues, key account managers and suppliers to support sales opportunities
  • Contributing to branch targets, including sales volume, margin and profitability
  • Maintaining accurate stock control and order processing systems
  • Delivering a consistent and positive customer experience through professional communication
  • Supporting compliance with health, safety and company policies
  • Carrying out any other reasonable duties to support the wider team and business

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday - 07:30 - 16:30
Friday - 07:30 - 15:30
Saturday - every other 08:00 - 12:00

  • Good communication and relationship-building skills across face-to-face, phone and written interactions
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to identify opportunities and support sales activity
  • Strong organisation skills and attention to detail when processing information
  • Confidence using IT systems, including trading platforms and reporting tools
  • A team-focused approach and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • A commitment to our values of Decency, Passion and Pride
