The Role
- Leading and developing a high-performing sustaining engineering team
- Acting as technical authority across mechanical product design and lifecycle support
- Driving resolution of complex technical and field issues
- Leading and prioritising sustaining projects with real business impact
- Providing expert guidance in mechanical design, materials, plastics, tooling, and manufacturing processes
- Partnering with quality, operations, regulatory, suppliers, and senior stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with regulated product standards and internal procedures
- Championing EHS, quality, and continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years’ experience in mechanical product development, including sustaining engineering
- Proven experience leading engineering teams and complex projects
- Strong background in mechanical design, plastics, materials, and tooling
- Experience working in regulated product environments (ISO, FDA, medical or similar)
- Confident communicator with strong judgement and decision-making ability
