An exciting opportunity to join a forward–thinking building services and energy engineering business delivering modern, sustainable projects across the UK and Ireland. This role is ideal for a trainee, graduate, or experienced Design Engineer who wants real exposure to the full project lifecycle – from concept design through construction, commissioning, and handover.

The Role

You will work as part of a collaborative design team developing efficient, compliant building services solutions. You will liaise with colleagues, clients, contractors, and suppliers, and support construction and commissioning teams to ensure designs are delivered exactly as intended.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Producing 2D / 3D CAD and BIM layouts
  • Developing and reviewing building services and low carbon design solutions
  • Carrying out thermal modelling and Part L compliance calculations
  • Supporting construction and commissioning activities
  • Coordinating with installation teams, suppliers, and specialist subcontractors
  • Preparing technical submissions and design documentation

What We Are Looking For

  • HNC / HND / Degree in Building Services or Engineering
  • Experience (or strong academic grounding) in building services design
  • Confident communicator with a proactive, self-motivated approach
  • Strong IT and digital design skills
  • Trainee level: 3 A–Levels (Grade B+) in Maths, Physics, or similar, plus GCSE English.
