The Role
You will lead a specialist sustaining engineering team responsible for the ongoing performance, compliance, and improvement of an established product portfolio. Acting as the technical authority, you will guide complex engineering decisions, lead key sustaining projects, and shape processes, capability, and team performance.
What You Will Be Doing
- Leading and developing a highâperforming sustaining engineering team
- Acting as technical authority across mechanical product design and lifecycle support
- Driving resolution of complex technical and field issues
- Leading and prioritising sustaining projects with real business impact
- Providing expert guidance in mechanical design, materials, plastics, tooling, and manufacturing processes
- Partnering with quality, operations, regulatory, suppliers, and senior stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with regulated product standards and internal procedures
- Championing EHS, quality, and continuous improvement
What We Are Looking For
- Degreeâqualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years' experience in mechanical product development, including sustaining engineering
- Proven experience leading engineering teams and complex projects
- Strong background in mechanical design, plastics, materials, and tooling
- Experience working in regulated product environments (ISO, FDA, medical or similar)
- Confident communicator with strong judgement and decisionâmaking ability
