Hours: Full-time (Monday – Friday, 07:00 – 16:00)

Core Responsibilities

In this role, you will be the lead on ensuring the reliability and efficiency of compactors and related industrial machinery. Your duties will include:

• Preventative Maintenance: Performing routine checks and repairs to ensure maximum equipment uptime.

• Operational Adherence: Following maintenance schedules and housekeeping programmes directed by the Engineering Manager.

• Health & Safety: Upholding the highest safety standards, ensuring all machinery meets strict legislative requirements.

• Team Collaboration: Communicating effectively with colleagues to share best practices and drive continuous improvement.

• On-Call Support: Participating in an out-of-hours rotational call-out schedule to address plant breakdowns and support planned weekend works when necessary.

Who You Are

• Technical Expertise: Proven experience in welding and fabrication, along with essential knowledge of hydraulic systems.

• Electrical Knowledge: A qualification or significant experience in three-phase electrical systems is highly advantageous.

• Safety Conscious: A deep understanding of current Health & Safety legislation and the ability to apply it practically.

• Reliability: Flexibility to handle emergency call-outs and shift changes to meet operational demands.
