Our client, a well-established interiors and textiles business, is seeking two Central London Design based Consultants to join their flagship showroom team – to include weekend work. This role calls for applicants who can deliver an extraordinary customer experience, expert product engagement and showroom excellence, while contributing to sales performance both individually and as part of a wider team.
Our client is looking for a self-starter with high energy, integrity and a genuine "can do - will do" attitude. The right person will have a passion for people, for interiors and for the business, and will relish variety, whether that means engaging customers on the showroom floor, supporting colleagues across departments or getting hands on with merchandising when needed.
The successful candidate will have at least one to two years' sales experience within a retail, hospitality or service led environment. Applicants must be goal driven and passionate about achieving results, building quotes and converting these into sales, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong personal presentation and the analytical ability to manage their own time, priorities and pipeline effectively. Knowledge of interiors, furniture or home furnishings is considered a strong advantage. Confidence with Microsoft packages and the ability to learn company specific systems is essential, as is a flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and evenings in line with retail trading. Hours 9:00am – 6:00pm. Position one: Sunday–Thursday. Position two: Tuesday–Saturday.
Duties
- Achieve assigned sales budgets, KPIs and objectives as set by the Manager
- Manage own pipeline with consistent, timely follow up
- Deliver the brand experience consistently
- Provide extraordinary customer experience
- Develop thorough product knowledge and deliver inspiring product demonstrations through on the job training
- Accurately process customer orders and payments, providing personalised service including order follow ups, updates and post sales support
- Build lasting relationships with customers, colleagues and management
- Handle customer issues / returns, timely solutions with regular follow up
