This role requires a competent, confident and highly organised candidate. As the first point of contact for all school visitors, you will be professional, polite, personable and immaculately presented. You will make the role your own, providing administrative and organisational support to ensure the smooth running of the school. This role requires a calm, level-headed and mentally agile individual. You will need to be able to multi-task whilst working in a busy office, and work closely with other administrative staff, as well as students, teachers, and parents.
Excellent IT proficiency, including MS Office, is a must, along with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a busy administrative role; experience in a prep school is a bonus but not essential. DBS checked preferred, but not essential.
Start: 1st September
Salary: up to £31k DOE for perm role (hourly equivalent whilst temping) + great benefits / holiday
Hours: 7.45am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday plus additional hours at Bursar’s discretion
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Act as the first point of contact extending a friendly welcome to all visitors, families, staff members and calls
- Collate the termly school calendar / printing and distribution
- Manage the electronic diary ensuring accurate record of school activities, events, fixtures, and trips
- Overview of events and meetings, delegating responsibilities to other members of the team where appropriate, e.g. catering, room layout, invitations
- Manage the iSAMS system recording pupil rollover, and maintain pupil uniform lists
- Provide general admin support to the academic team and answer day-to-day queries from parents and other third parties
- Deal with admissions inquiries / maintain the database accordingly
- Keep records up to date on school’s MIS; ensuring leadership team has up-to-date information for staff individual timetables, class timetables, all parent contact information; validate information as necessary

- Attend school functions as required
