A West London private school is seeking an experienced and polished PA to provide outstanding support to two Deputy Heads on a permanent, full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be personable, approachable and highly professional, with outstanding communication skills, as well as written and spoken English. They must remain calm under pressure, managing competing demands whilst maintaining meticulous attention to detail, all whilst working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. They will be highly discreet, flexible and willing to go the extra mile, with a good sense of humour and professional standards of behaviour and dress.

The successful candidate will demonstrate an understanding of how a school community functions and show a genuine commitment to upholding safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare. They should embrace the whole school community and show empathy towards the pastoral and academic issues affecting pupils. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, and IT skills generally, are essential, as well as previous experience as an EA/PA at senior level, whilst experience in an educational setting is desirable.

Hours: 8am to 5pm term time, 8am-4:30pm school holidays. Start ASAP, pending checks. Holiday: 28 days annual leave, to be taken during school holidays only.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • General administrative tasks as appropriate
  • Organise and maintain multiple diaries
  • To act as a line of contact for the Deputy Heads
  • Schedule and take minutes for meetings
  • Oversee absence requests
  • Oversee lost property
  • Provide assistance around exam results
  • Provide statistical / analytical support to the Deputy Heads
  • Provide support to the Head in the absence of the PA
  • Cover Reception breaks (during periods of absence)
  • Assist with student / staff visits to office
