Our client, a high-net-worth individual living in a beautifully presented and immaculately maintained penthouse property between Notting Hill and South Kensington, is seeking an experienced, self-motivated housekeeper to join the household on a self-employed basis, with a view to making a long-term appointment for the right candidate.
This is a part-time role, working four mornings per week, with Wednesdays off – but there is a degree of flexibility on scheduling for the right person.
Our client is looking for someone who brings genuine initiative and professionalism to their work. They value a proactive approach: someone who plans and prioritises their schedule thoughtfully, and who takes pride in maintaining the property to a high standard, without needing close supervision.
Managing petty cash, discretion, and fluency in English are all essential requirements for this role. An ability to cook would be a bonus.

Salary
Hourly rate: £22–£25 per hour on self-employed status (≈ £34–35k pro-rata).
Responsibilities
- General housekeeping and cleaning throughout the penthouse, with tasks rotated to ensure all areas are maintained to a consistently high standard
- Day-to-day laundry management, including washing, drying, and folding or pressing as required
- Handling petty cash responsibly, keeping accurate records of household expenditure
- Planning and managing a structured cleaning schedule independently, prioritising areas and rooms on a rotational basis
- Maintaining general household order and tidiness in line with the client's standards and preferences
- Light cooking or meal preparation (desirable but not essential)
