We are looking for a capable and personable individual to join a family office based in Central London in a varied, hands-on role covering front-of-house, facilities management, and general office operations. Discretion and diplomacy are essential within this close-knit environment, where relationships matter.

This is not a desk-bound position. The right candidate will thrive on variety and get stuck in without needing to be asked, acting as the first point of contact for clients and visitors, managing meeting rooms, AV equipment, refreshments and greeting guests and deliveries, setting the tone for the professional environment they represent.

Alongside front-of-house, this role takes ownership of day-to-day facilities and building management, requiring someone who assesses situations and acts rather than waits to be told. Health and safety sit within the remit, too. Common sense and a calm, can-do approach are essential.

If you are tech-savvy, well-organised, and the sort of person who spots a problem, sorts it out and moves on, you will fit right in. Fully office-based.

Hours: 8.30 – 5.30

Holiday: 25 days holiday

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Sole receptionist and first point of contact for all visitors and tenants
  • Opening and preparing reception, kitchenette and meeting rooms each morning
  • Stock management including milk, coffee machine, mugs and glasses
  • Greeting and signing in guests, answering the door
  • Tea and coffee for guests
  • Meeting room bookings, video conferencing support and forwarding Teams links
  • Clearing and resetting rooms throughout the day
  • Post management

Building / Facilities

  • Contacting contractors (alarm, plumbing, etc) as required / supervising works
  • Managing building panels including fire alarm, gas and intruder alarm resets
  • Checks of storage areas and plant room as required
  • Acting as temporary fire warden, including evacuation to assembly point
  • Logging cleaning issues and liaising with cleaning manager
  • Emailing tenants regarding building issues that may affect them
