Role Overview: We are hiring an NLP Engineer to build the language intelligence layer of Joveo's platform — the systems that understand job descriptions, resumes, and talent signals at scale. You will work on real-world NLP problems in a domain where language understanding directly impacts millions of hiring decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build NLP pipelines for classification, extraction, and semantic understanding
  • Fine-tune and deploy transformer models for domain-specific language tasks
  • Develop entity recognition, intent classification, and text matching systems
  • Build evaluation datasets and benchmarks to measure NLP model quality
  • Collaborate with data and product teams to ship NLP features into production
  • Stay current with NLP research and apply relevant advances to Joveo's use cases

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong foundation in NLP techniques — tokenization, embeddings, transformers, and LLMs
  • Proficiency in Python and NLP libraries (Hugging Face, spaCy, NLTK)
  • Experience fine-tuning pre-trained models (BERT, RoBERTa, or similar)
  • Familiarity with vector databases and semantic search systems
  • Understanding of evaluation metrics for NLP tasks (F1, BLEU, ROUGE, etc.)
  • Experience deploying NLP models to production API endpoints
