Role Overview: We are hiring a Security Engineer to protect Joveo's platform, data, and infrastructure against evolving threats. You will embed security into every layer of our engineering stack — from application code to cloud configuration — building systems that are secure by design, not by retrofit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct threat modeling, security reviews, and vulnerability assessments
- Implement and maintain application security controls across backend and frontend systems
- Manage cloud security posture — IAM policies, network segmentation, secrets management
- Build and operate security monitoring, alerting, and incident response capabilities
- Integrate security tooling into CI/CD pipelines (SAST, DAST, dependency scanning)
- Drive security awareness and best practices across engineering teams
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in application and/or cloud security engineering
- Proficiency with security tools — SAST/DAST scanners, WAFs, SIEM platforms
- Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and common vulnerability classes
- Experience securing cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure security services)
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR)
- Ability to communicate security risk clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
