News Associates is hiring a full-time, in-person journalism tutor to join our London newsroom as we grow our award-winning training team. We’re seeking dynamic individuals with a genuine passion for multimedia journalism and emerging digital platforms to embrace our innovative way of teaching at the UK’s number one NCTJ journalism school. We are keen to hear from journalists who have been there and done it who can help our trainees stay ahead of the game in a constantly evolving media landscape.

About Us

Based in the office of our award-winning news agencies run by Beat Media Group, News Associates has been named the number one journalism course in the UK for seven straight years. We offer a range of training options aimed at postgraduate trainees, both full-time and part-time, in person and remote, and also an undergraduate degree, The School of Journalism. We also deliver training to a wealth of industry leaders including The Times, The Sunday Times, The Telegraph and Yahoo.

About You

Successful applicants will be bursting with ideas, boast an understanding of the importance of NCTJ-accredited journalism training and be passionate to inspire the next generation of newsroom leaders. You will need to have at least two years’ experience in the journalism industry. Experience in NCTJ training is desirable but not essential.

The Role

  • Hours: This is a full-time, five-day-a-week in-person role, including some Saturdays and some evenings. (We are not looking for guest speakers.)
  • Location: Twickenham, London.
  • Salary: £25,000-35,000pa, dependent on experience.
  • Deadline: Please apply by Sunday July 13 at 11.59pm. Successful applicants would ideally start by the beginning of the new academic year in early September.
