Working with the best luxury hotels and resorts in the world, empowering growth and increasing revenue through innovation, collaboration, and technology solutions.

Before we get started, there are three things you need to know. At Journey, we will always have an entrepreneurial spirit. We started off as a team of six and have never forgotten our humble roots. To thrive you will need to embrace this mindset. We all roll up our sleeves, we help each other out, we admit if we are struggling, we lean on one another and we leave ego at the door. That is very important. Everyone plays a part. We are a business of collaboration and sharing, be it ideas, time, skills, knowledge, energy or snacks...we are in it together. Our clients are considered part of our business and we treat them with the same inclusive respect and consideration.

Please be aware this is a UK-based remote role; applicants must be a resident of and located within the UK for the duration of their employment.

What you'll do: Book is the e-commerce heart of Journey — the booking engine powering luxury hotels around the world. We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to help shape its next chapter. This is a critical role in a product that drives millions in direct revenue every year. You’ll bring deep e-commerce and UX expertise, strong product thinking, and a data-driven mindset to a platform used daily by high-intent guests across web and mobile. You’ll help define the future of booking journeys, conversion pathways, merchandising patterns, upsells, and the core flows that make Book a true competitive advantage.

  • Lead end-to-end design for Book across discovery, UX, UI and delivery.
  • Translate business goals, data insights, and hotel requirements into elegant, high-performing booking experiences.
  • Own core user journeys such as search, availability, selection, checkout, upsell, and gifting.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research — interviews, usability tests, funnel analysis, behavioural insights.
  • Use CRO principles, analytics, and experimentation to drive measurable improvements in conversion and revenue.
  • Create high-quality flows, wireframes, prototypes and polished UI designs.
  • Contribute to and expand our design system with scalable, reusable components.
  • Work closely with engineering to ensure smooth handover, clarity and high-quality implementation.
  • Support both iterative improvements and larger strategic projects, including the upcoming UX/UI overhaul.
  • Present work with clarity, rationale and evidence — influencing thinking across teams.
  • Champion data-informed, human-centred design and help evolve the product culture.

What you'll bring:

  • 5+ years in product design, ideally in e-commerce, B2C, retail or transactional platforms.
  • A portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX/UI work with clear commercial outcomes.
  • Strong UX capabilities: user journeys, interaction design, prototyping, IA.
  • Strong UI craft with a clean, contemporary digital aesthetic.
  • Proven experience using analytics, experimentation, CRO and A/B testing to guide decisions.
  • Comfortable designing for mobile-first experiences and responsive interfaces.
  • Experienced running user interviews, usability tests and research cycles.
  • Systems thinker with experience working within and contributing to design systems.
  • Excellent communication skills — clear, articulate, persuasive.
  • Confident working in cross-functional squads with product and engineering.
  • Calm under pressure, organised, and able to balance detail with speed.
  • Curious, evidence-led and comfortable challenging assumptions.
  • Responsibility, taking ownership of projects, delivering over expectations.

What you'll get: We’re a collective of disruptive thinkers, digital specialists and tech pioneers. But above all, we’re a team. We win together, and lose together. And we pride ourselves on our ethos of culture first, capability second.

  • Strong people and communication skills.
  • Commercially minded.
  • Fast learner, accountable and ambitious.
  • Passionate about detail, data and order.
  • Focused on improving processes and systems.
  • Ability to work under your own initiative in a fast-paced environment and industry.
  • Driven to be an expert in our industry and be ahead of our competitors.

About us: Think of your role here as more than just a job; it's about shaping your future, one hotel at a time. We're a team of innovators, strategists, storytellers, and engineers, all with a few things in common. We love hotels, we get results, and we provide great online experiences for hoteliers and their guests. Our work can be challenging, but we're firm believers that when you love what you do, you do it well.
