This role is a senior HR position within Journey and located within the 59 Studio team. The role will sustain a breadth of knowledge across Journey's full HR catalogue advising employees accordingly and contribute specific expertise in employee engagement and inclusion across our global workforce. You will run strategic initiatives and projects that gather employee insights and foster a positive work environment. This will include employee feedback processes, developing core strategies for inclusion, global policy development and renewal, Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and accumulating information and data for leadership to build a successful company culture.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR with specific focus or demonstrable project type experience in employee engagement and inclusion, data management, and collaborating with leadership teams to evolve culture and policy in the workplace. You'll be the central point of employee feedback and experience within the organisation.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Employee Engagement insight & data: Serve as the primary administrator for gathering employee insights and feedback across all locations. This includes managing accessible processes, ensuring data integrity, and delivering reports to support business decisions. You'll be responsible for the accuracy of all employee engagement data across the global workforce.
- Policy Lead: Lead the integration & development of policies across the Journey group in all global territories including best practice updates and renewals that position Journey as a compelling employer and ensuring these policies are clear and accessible to employees.
- Inclusion Lead: Develop strategic initiatives and, with the People & Culture Coordinator, run projects that foster an inclusive work environment including staff training where supportive.
- Oversight of ERGs: Keep strategic oversight and further develop Journey's employee led programmes and initiatives and ensure a suite of opportunities that represent the diversity of our team.
- Onboarding: Make a meaningful contribution to Onboarding from an inclusion perspective ensuring each person's first chapter with the company supports a long term relationship.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various teams, including IT, finance, and other HR functions, to support system integrations and solve operational challenges.
Essential:
- Approximately 7 years of experience in an HR or People related role, with a strong focus on employee engagement & inclusion.
- A strong understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion best practices within the UK.
- A demonstrable track record working with high level leadership to develop actions and programmes that influence employee experience.
- A background or demonstrable understanding of a creative working environment and/or business.
- A breadth of understanding of fundamental HR processes within a business.
- A demonstrable ability to advise on a range of statutory rights, policy positions and employment related processes across a variety of employment types including but not limited to full time, fixed term, temporary and/or freelance.
- Strong data management and analytical skills.
- Experience with an HR/Employee Software.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong communication and project management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global team environment.
Desirable:
- A strong understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion best practices in global contexts outside the UK, specifically The USA and the Middle East.
- Experience in a global business environment with knowledge of HR law in multiple territories.
