A well-established client in Wokingham is seeking a proven Credit Controller to take responsibility for managing the Sales Ledger, collecting outstanding debts, and ensuring accurate reconciliation of customer accounts. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining strong customer relationships and supporting the wider finance function. The salary for this role is up to £27,500 plus a great range of benefits including 25 days holiday. You will work a 35-hour week with the option of a flexible start time. There will be the option for hybrid working after successful completion of the probation period.
Key Responsibilities for the Credit Controller role are:
- Processing and posting customer payments including bank receipts, Worldpay and EPDQ transactions
- Updating cashbooks and reviewing foreign bank accounts for incoming funds
- Chasing outstanding debt, resolving queries, and initiating proceedings where required
- Reconciling key customer and National Accounts, raising discrepancies with internal teams
- Producing regular reports and invoices including uploading to customer portals
- Preparing consolidated reports, customer statements, and month-end information for the Finance Controller
- Managing credit balances, debit notes, back orders, and exchange rate updates
- Supporting annual audit activity and assisting other finance team members as needed
