The Role of Project Manager

This is a hands-on Project Manager position where you’ll take real ownership of live projects from sales handover through to successful delivery. You’ll work closely with customers, suppliers, contractors and internal teams, making sure projects remain organised, on programme and moving forward. You’ll have the support of an experienced Project Delivery Manager, while being trusted to take responsibility, solve problems and deliver results. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is ambitious, organised and proactive, with a clear pathway to progress into a Senior Project Manager position.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing your own projects from sales handover through to confirmed delivery
  • Keeping project trackers accurate and up to date, including key dates, risks and actions
  • Managing sales orders, suppliers and deliveries to programme
  • Supporting tenders with documentation, quotations and bid submissions
  • Acting as a key point of contact for customers and suppliers
  • Maintaining clear and professional communication throughout projects
  • Finding smarter and more efficient ways of working, including using modern and AI-assisted tools
  • Supporting the Project Coordinator and wider team where required
  • Identifying potential issues early and taking ownership of getting them resolved

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who enjoys being organised, taking responsibility and getting things done. Ideally, you’ll have experience in project coordination, project support or a similar role, preferably within construction, engineering or another technical environment. You’ll also have:

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Confident communication skills with both commercial and technical contacts
  • The ability to read construction drawings, or the aptitude to learn
  • Good spreadsheet, tracker and systems experience
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite would be advantageous
  • A proactive, ownership-focused approach
  • The ability to plan ahead, follow things through and keep projects moving
  • A genuine desire to learn, develop and progress

Career Progression

This is more than simply a project management role — it’s an opportunity to build a long-term career. There is a clear, milestone-based route towards Senior Project Manager, with progression based on consistent project delivery, sound commercial judgement and developing leadership skills. For the right person, there is genuine opportunity to progress — how quickly you get there is up to you.

You’ll be joining a friendly, forward-thinking business where people are encouraged to take ownership, contribute ideas and make a real difference. If you’re looking for a role where you’ll be trusted, supported and given genuine scope to develop your career, we’d love to hear from you.
