What you will do
- Write and refine press materials, media pitches, and supporting documents to ensure alignment with client objectives.
- Handle both proactive and reactive media opportunities, such as newsjacking, content marketing, expert commentary drafting, and data analysis.
- Analyse campaign metrics, including reach, impressions, and engagement, to deliver actionable insights on progress against KPIs.
- Take on the key role of outreach ownership, continuously refining strategies to improve response rates and secure high-value placements.
- Support the mentoring and development of our PR Executives and their own outreach responsibilities.
- Confidently present reports and recommendations to clients as part of team calls and updates, while building relationships with key clients.
- Understand media landscapes and audience targeting strategies to craft impactful campaigns, always looking for opportunities to place clients within the news agenda.
- Collaborate with SEO, Content, and Social & Influencer teams to align PR with broader marketing strategies.
- Interpret performance data and optimise outreach/campaign strategies accordingly, pivoting proactively and taking pride in account performance.
- Provide input to enhance team workflows and reporting processes, improving overall delivery.
Requirements
- 2+ years of full-time PR experience with proven success in delivering performance-led PR, preferably within an agency setting, managing multiple clients while achieving impactful results.
- A solid understanding of how PR supports the wider marketing mix, specifically how digital PR impacts SEO (including AI search and LLMs), Brand, and Paid Media.
- A growing network of established relationships with key journalists and influencers, with a track record of independently securing high-value, meaningful coverage.
- Confidence in presenting reports and recommendations directly to clients, with a proactive approach to collaborating with internal SEO teams.
- The ability to interpret performance data and campaign metrics to optimise outreach strategies and demonstrate clear ROI to clients.
- A solution-oriented approach to identifying gaps and anticipating client needs to deliver added value beyond standard coverage.
- You can maintain proficiency in tools used within PR processes, such as media monitoring, media databases, Buzzstream, journalist request tools, and standard SEO monitoring tools such as Ahrefs, to identify trends and track performance.
