What You Will Do
- Lead the execution of multi-channel content strategies for major client accounts, ensuring alignment with brand, audience, and commercial goals.
- Serve as a senior content consultant to client stakeholders, helping them navigate complex challenges across search, social, and emerging platforms with confidence and clarity.
- Work closely within the Content Studio and alongside Organic, Paid, Influencer, PR, and Creative teams to deliver cohesive, integrated campaigns across multiple channels and markets.
- Guide teams from strategic brief through to execution, ensuring ideas are ambitious, well-shaped, and delivered to a consistently high standard.
- Own and evolve content delivery models, workflows, and operational standards to ensure quality, consistency, and scalability across the department.
- Use advanced analytics and performance insight to refine strategies, demonstrate ROI, and tell a clear story of content effectiveness to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Identify emerging trends, tools, and opportunities across content, AI-driven discovery, and platform behaviour embedding innovation into team approaches and client work.
- Oversee large-scale or complex initiatives such as international content strategies, multilingual campaigns, or cross-market rollouts.
- Support the Content Director by mentoring senior specialists and managers, raising the strategic and creative bar across the team and contributing to a strong culture of collaboration and craft.
Requirements
- Significant experience leading content and channel strategy at a senior level, with responsibility for major accounts or complex programmes of work.
- Proven ability to operate as a trusted senior advisor to clients, confidently engaging and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Exceptional storytelling and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas, data, and briefs into clear, compelling content direction.
- Strong experience delivering integrated, audience-first content across editorial, video, social, and platform-native formats.
- Deep understanding of content performance and evolving search and discovery behaviours, including platform-led search and SERP evolution.
- Advanced experience using analytics and insight tools such as Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SparkToro, and platform-native data to shape strategy and demonstrate impact.
- Comfortable balancing strategic leadership with hands-on problem solving in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
- A strong track record of cross-functional leadership, aligning content strategy with broader marketing, brand, and commercial objectives.
- Experience overseeing content audits, gap analyses, and large-scale strategic initiatives across multiple channels or markets.
- Demonstrated interest in innovation, experimentation, and improving how content teams operate from tools and processes, to formats and frameworks.
Maternity Cover
This is a 13 month contract starting at the beginning of April. There will be a one month hand over period and then a further 12 months. The contract will end end of May 2027.
