Joining the Journey Beyond family, you will play an integral role in supporting our business as we continue to share special places and shape lasting memories for our guests.

About the Role

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager and General Manager Food and Beverage, this role will be responsible for maintaining and managing the day to day provisioning of all food and beverage requirements, to service Journey Beyond trains within budgeted guidelines. This role will assist in the design and maintenance of menus across the business, coordination of the Journey Beyond food safety system, ensuring the effectiveness and continually improving the quality.This role will attract an annual salary of $76,515.

Food and Beverage

  • Actively involved in Staff Training and contribution to Navigator and other staff training tools
  • Update & source new products and trends
  • Assist procurement process, guide the purchasing team and continuously make necessary improvements. Maintain supplier communications
  • Develop and maintain process flow including work instructions
  • Manages the GSR Food safety system including training
  • Food quality standards – stock receipt process, sampling process, specification management
  • Maintain the back end of POS system REVEL
  • Support stock controllers and ordering through COUPA

GSR Food Safety System & HACCP

  • Actively gather, sort, file and report on all company food handing activities and those of our partners. Provide educational support to GSR employees on safe food handling and all elements of the food safety system
  • Maintains the quality inventory systems and procedures through training and support to the GSR Warehouse Manager and warehouse team.
  • Lead, coach, and guide all staff through their responsibilities to the Food Safety Plan.
  • Manage the day to day flow of data from functional areas, through to the reporting stage.
  • Maintain an impeccable standard of administration around the food safety system in line with the plan and procedures.
  • Administratively, recognize areas of the plan that need improvement and follow through, e.g. Corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular, scheduled formal & informal, internal audits of food areas to ensure compliance to GSR HACCP, FSANZ and general food safety protocol & legislation.
  • Coordinate all activities within the food safety plan such as Audits, Reviews, Cleaning, and Training & Improvements.
  • Ensure all stock received into GSR warehouse is checked for Quality, any issues around Food Safety must be handled as per instruction in HACCP plan.

  • Actively participate within Better Beyond project scope

About You

Education: Graduate preferred, however, qualifications in Food Science will be highly regarded

Experience: Intimate working knowledge of accredited food safety systems is essential
