Eureka 89 is the stunning events and dining space on the top floor of Eureka Tower in Melbourne. We host a wide variety of events - corporate lunches, dinners or cocktail parties, media launches, private milestone celebrations and weddings. We also operate a chef's tasting dining room, open to the public throughout the week.

About The Role

We're seeking an energetic, guest-focused Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our leadership team and help deliver exceptional events and dining experiences in a premium hospitality environment. Working closely with the Operations Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the venue, leading front-of-house teams, supporting operational excellence, and ensuring every guest experience is memorable. This is a full-time, hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about developing people, driving performance, and creating a positive team culture.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the floor during service, creating exceptional guest experiences and setting the standard for premium hospitality.
  • Inspire, coach and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive and engaging workplace culture.
  • Partner with the Operations Manager to drive venue performance, operational excellence and efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with kitchen, events and sales teams to deliver seamless and memorable dining and event experiences.
  • Take ownership of day-to-day operations, ensuring impeccable service standards, compliance and venue presentation.

About You

You are a passionate hospitality professional who leads from the front and enjoys creating exceptional experiences for both guests and team members. You bring strong operational knowledge, a collaborative leadership style and a genuine enthusiasm for premium food, beverage and events. To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • Previous management or leadership experience within a premium restaurant, dining or events environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing, guest-centric teams.
  • Strong understanding of hospitality operations, including labour management, stock control and compliance.
  • A current RSA Certificate.
  • First Aid and CPR qualifications.
  • Safe Food Handling certification (or willing to obtain one).
  • Experience using reservation and venue management systems.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive, positive and solutions-focused approach.
  • The ability to remain calm, adaptable and effective in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work a rotating roster across Monday to Sunday, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
