About the Role
Ready to start your Joules Journey? Step into the role of Design Manager! This position reports to the Design Director and supports the direction of design across all categories. You will focus on trend direction for the entire range and be heavily involved in executing the product creative vision for Joules.
You will oversee the ongoing development of the team, managing and inspiring Designers and Assistants. You will support them in their day-to-day roles while providing input and advice on the strategic direction of their ranges. You will work closely with cross‑functional counterparts to ensure range cohesiveness, aligning categories to deliver a unified and compelling brand look.
Responsibilities
- Trend and Creative Direction: Maintain a strong design vision, stay aware of changing market trends, and identify and communicate new, growing, and declining trends with the wider design team.
- Team Leadership: Communicate the company vision clearly, set goals and expectations, motivate the team, and foster a positive environment with recognition and constructive feedback.
- Communication: Build and maintain relationships with your immediate team and collaborate with key stakeholders across Joules.
- Travel: Travel will be frequent, including visits to global trade shows, inspirational trips, and factory visits.
Qualifications
- Experience in the design sector with excellent trend knowledge and exceptional taste.
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence the wider team.
- Organized with excellent time management, able to plan and execute to tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to inspire and lead a team of designers across diverse product areas.
- Willingness to work full time at our Market Harborough, Leicestershire Head Office and be present 5 days per week.
