Your mission is to support a growing group of companies with over 100 employees. This role will involve providing day-to-day technical support across the business, troubleshooting IT issues, assisting with system maintenance, and supporting the IT Manager with technology setup and operations at race events. About the Role
The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for:
- Day-to-Day IT Support
- Provide first-line and second-line support for hardware, software, and network issues across the group.
- Support users with desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
- Set up and configure new user accounts, devices, email accounts, and access permissions.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot operating systems and business software applications.
- Assist with routine maintenance, system updates, backups, and patching.
- Support basic network administration, including Wi-Fi, switches, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Maintain IT asset registers and documentation.
- Escalate complex issues to the IT Manager where required.
- Race Event IT Support
- Assist the IT Manager in preparing, deploying, and testing race event technology systems.
- Support setup of event infrastructure including networking, timing systems, communications, and associated hardware.
- Provide on-site technical support during race events.
- Assist with packing, transport, setup, breakdown, and maintenance of event technology equipment.
- Help ensure smooth and reliable operation of event-critical systems.
- General Support Duties
- Support IT projects and system improvements across the group.
- Assist with cybersecurity best practices and user awareness.
- Contribute to maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal users at all levels.
Qualifications
- Relevant IT qualification such as:
- CompTIA A+ / Network+
- Microsoft Certifications (e.g. Modern Desktop Administrator Associate)
- Level 3/4 IT Support or Infrastructure qualification
- HND, Degree or equivalent in IT, Computing or related discipline
