A market-leading construction consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of hyperscale and high-specification data centre projects across the UK and Europe. This is a client-facing, strategic role suited to a commercially minded, technically confident project leader who can drive complex construction programmes from concept through commissioning. You will work with global technology clients, taking full responsibility for governance, programme performance, and stakeholder coordination on large-scale, ground-up developments.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will:
- Advise clients at the earliest project stages, shaping procurement and delivery strategies
- Define success criteria for time, cost, quality, and performance
- Establish and manage robust project governance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement plans
- Oversee multidisciplinary project teams through planning, procurement, and delivery phases
- Lead on health & safety, compliance, quality control, and risk management across the programme
- Drive commercial performance using KPIs, reporting dashboards, and change control systems
- Manage project financials, cost forecasting, and invoicing workflows
- Act as the key point of contact for client executives, consultants, and contractors
- Facilitate executive reporting and formal progress reviews at each project stage
What We're Looking For:
- 5–10 years’ experience in a client-facing project management role
- Background in data centre, mission-critical, or high-spec industrial/infrastructure delivery
- Construction consultancy or professional services background preferred
- Chartered or near-chartered status (RICS, APM, CIOB, or equivalent)
- Degree qualified in a built environment discipline: project management, engineering, architecture, or construction
- Strong technical understanding of the full project lifecycle from pre-construction through commissioning
- Proven leadership in complex stakeholder environments
- Excellent commercial acumen and project financial control
