Location - Covering Norwich and surrounding areas

Day Rate - up to £700 per day DOE

We are working with our client to appoint an Interim MRICS qualified Estate Surveyor to join a well-regarded organisation within the social housing sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced interim surveyor to provide professional surveying and estate management advice across a diverse residential portfolio in and around Norwich and surrounding areas, playing a key role in supporting the effective management, valuation, and development of social housing assets on a day-rate contract basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional estate management advice across a portfolio of social housing assets, including leasehold and freehold properties
  • Carry out valuations, rent reviews, and lease renewals in line with RICS guidance and best practice
  • Advise on acquisitions, disposals, and land transactions to support the organisation's asset management strategy
  • Manage leasehold and right-to-buy/right-to-acquire matters, including boundary disputes and easements
  • Liaise with internal teams, tenants, solicitors, and external stakeholders on property and estate-related matters
  • Support the development pipeline by advising on land assembly, options, and site appraisals
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, and RICS professional standards
  • Prepare reports and provide clear, commercially sound recommendations to senior stakeholders

Candidate Profile

  • MRICS qualified (essential), with post-qualification experience in estate management, ideally within social housing or the wider public/affordable housing sector
  • Strong technical knowledge of landlord and tenant matters, valuations, and asset management
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical property matters to non-specialist stakeholders
  • Commercially astute, with sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Full UK driving licence, with willingness to travel across the Norwich portfolio as required
