Joshua Robert is delighted to be partnering with a leading UK property consultancy on the appointment of an Electrical Engineer to join their growing Building Consultancy team in London. This is a unique opportunity to join a business responsible for managing and advising on over £30 billion of commercial real estate assets across the UK. The role offers exposure to some of the country's most prestigious office, industrial, retail and mixed use portfolios, working closely with Building Surveying, Sustainability and Project Management teams.
You will play a key role in delivering electrical engineering and building services advice across a broad range of commercial property instructions. The position combines technical design, project delivery, decarbonisation strategy and client advisory work, providing genuine variety and long term career progression. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to improve building performance, support net zero initiatives and deliver innovative engineering solutions across existing buildings and refurbishment projects.
- Lead the design and coordination of electrical building services projects
- Produce electrical engineering calculations, specifications and technical reports
- Utilise software including Amtech, DIALux and AutoCAD
- Collaborate with Building Surveyors, Sustainability Consultants and Project Managers
- Identify energy efficiency and decarbonisation opportunities across commercial assets
- Undertake site inspections and technical reviews
- Manage projects from inception through to completion
- Support project delivery, quality assurance and financial performance
Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or similar. Experience within electrical building services, ideally focused on commercial property. Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, British Standards and CIBSE guidance. Proficient in Amtech, DIALux and AutoCAD. Experience using Revit and Bluebeam would be advantageous. Passion for sustainable design and improving building performance. Exposure to a £30 billion commercial property portfolio. Clear progression opportunities from Senior through to Associate level.
