An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced senior leader to join a Global Real Estate Consultancy on a 9–12 month interim contract, providing maternity cover for a key regional leadership position.
This is a strategic leadership role with responsibility for a substantial Commercial Property & Facilities Management portfolio across Yorkshire and the North West. You'll lead an established management team, oversee operational performance, nurture key client relationships and ensure exceptional service delivery across a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate assets.
We're looking for someone who understands the realities of managing commercial property on behalf of investors and occupiers, someone who appreciates the importance of service charge management, governance, compliance and delivering best‑in‑class property management services.
The Role
Reporting into the senior leadership team, you'll be responsible for:
- Leading the Property & Facilities Management business across Yorkshire and the North West.
- Providing strategic leadership to a multi-disciplinary team spanning Property Management, Facilities Management and operational support.
- Taking full accountability for operational performance, financial delivery and regional profitability.
- Building trusted relationships with major commercial property owners, institutional investors and occupiers.
- Driving exceptional client service across a diverse commercial real estate portfolio.
- Overseeing service charge governance, budget management and operational compliance.
- Supporting business development activity, client retention and growth opportunities.
- Leading operational improvements while ensuring consistency, quality and commercial performance.
- Working closely with the wider national leadership team to deliver strategic objectives.
About You
We're looking for an experienced operational leader who has built their career within Commercial Real Estate and understands the responsibilities of a Managing Agent.
You’ll likely bring:
- A proven track record in a senior leadership role within Commercial Property Management, Property & Facilities Management or a Managing Agent environment.
- Strong knowledge of commercial real estate operations and the delivery of property management services.
- A thorough understanding of service charge budgets, governance and best practice.
- Experience managing large, multi-site teams across multiple offices or regions.
- Demonstrable P&L responsibility and commercial acumen.
- A strong background in developing and maintaining high-value client relationships.
- Experience leading operational performance, business improvement and change initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the credibility to engage at board level.
- Professional qualifications such as RICS, IWFM, IOSH or NEBOSH would be advantageous.
