This is a field-based role, working from home while travelling to client sites across the region. The main coverage area will include Perthshire, Inverness, the Highlands and surrounding areas.

The role will involve providing practical health and safety advice to a varied client base across commercial, rural and agricultural environments. You will carry out site visits, complete risk assessments, produce reports and action plans, and support clients in understanding and managing their health and safety obligations. The client base in this region has a strong rural and agricultural focus, so experience working with farming, agriculture, forestry, estates or similar environments would be advantageous. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering health and safety consultancy services across Scotland
  • Undertaking site visits, risk assessments, audits and remote surveys
  • Producing clear, professional reports and action plans
  • Providing practical risk improvement recommendations
  • Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Managing your own workload, travel and reporting deadlines
  • Working across commercial, rural and agricultural client environments

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Experience in a Health & Safety Consultant, H&S Advisor or H&S Manager role
  • CertIOSH status as a minimum
  • Strong knowledge of current health and safety legislation
  • Excellent report writing and written communication skills
  • Confidence working directly with clients and stakeholders
  • The ability to work independently across a regional patch
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Agriculture, farming, forestry or rural estates experience would be desirable but is not essential

This would suit an experienced health and safety professional who enjoys autonomy, variety and working directly with clients to improve safety standards.
