A rare and compelling opportunity has arisen to join one of the Midlands' fastest-growing and most progressive property management businesses at Director level. This is a senior hire for a business with real momentum, expanding client base, significant investment behind it, and a leadership team that thinks and operates differently to the traditional consultancy model. This is not a steady-state management role. The business is ambitious, commercially driven, and looking for a Director who will help shape its next phase of growth, bringing gravitas, client relationships, and the ability to lead a team as well as a portfolio.

The Role

  • Taking senior responsibility for a high-profile commercial portfolio across the Midlands, spanning office, industrial, retail, and mixed-use assets.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for institutional and private clients, providing strategic advice on asset performance and value enhancement.
  • Leading on service charge management, budgeting, and financial oversight across the portfolio.
  • Driving strategic asset management initiatives, going well beyond day-to-day management to deliver measurable outcomes for clients.
  • Playing an active role in business development, identifying opportunities, attending pitches, and helping to grow the firm's client base.
  • Working closely with facilities management, accounting, and wider professional teams.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing junior and mid-level surveyors within the team.
  • Contributing to the firm's strategic direction as part of the senior leadership group.

What You'll Need

  • MRICS qualified, essential.
  • Significant experience in commercial property management, with a track record of operating at or close to Director level.
  • A strong and credible client network across the Midlands commercial market.
  • Demonstrable experience advising on complex, high-value instructions across mixed commercial portfolios.
  • Strong leadership capability, able to inspire and develop a team as well as manage a demanding client base.
  • Commercially minded and entrepreneurially driven, this business rewards initiative and ambition.
  • A genuine desire to be part of something growing, rather than maintaining the status quo.

Why This Role

The fastest-growing sizeable property management business in the Midlands is not looking for a safe pair of hands; it is looking for a Director who wants to be part of building something. The platform is there: the clients, the assets, the culture, and the backing. What it needs now is the right senior person to help take it to the next level.
