A well established and growing commercial property consultancy is looking to appoint a

Senior Property Management Surveyor to join its Birmingham office.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded business with an impressive client base and a diverse commercial property portfolio.

You'll take ownership of key landlord instructions, work closely with a range of investors and property companies, and play an important role in the continued growth of the team.

The Role

You'll be responsible for the day to day management of a varied commercial property portfolio, providing first class client service while delivering strategic advice to maximise asset performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a diverse portfolio of office, industrial, retail and mixed use commercial properties
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for landlord clients
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, occupiers and contractors
  • Preparing and managing service charge budgets and reconciliations
  • Managing rent collection, arrears and lease compliance
  • Undertaking regular property inspections and preparing client reports
  • Coordinating planned maintenance and capital works
  • Working alongside Asset Management, Agency and Building Surveying teams to maximise value across client portfolios
  • Advising clients on opportunities to enhance income and asset performance
  • Supporting and mentoring junior surveyors where appropriate

About You

We're looking to speak with commercially minded Property Management Surveyors who enjoy building long term client relationships and taking ownership of their own portfolio.

You'll ideally have

  • MRICS qualified, or working towards qualification
  • Strong commercial property management experience
  • Experience managing landlord and investor portfolios
  • Excellent knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation
  • Service charge budgeting and management experience
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive and commercial approach
