Our client is a dynamic and growing Commercial Real Estate business with a significant property portfolio across the Midlands. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor to join their senior team.
The Role
Reporting to the board of directors, you will be the company's go-to advisor on all aspects of commercial property law. You will provide pragmatic, business-focused legal advice to support the management, acquisition, and development of our property portfolio, as well as broader commercial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of property related contracts, including leases, licences, acquisitions, disposals, and development agreements.
- Advising on landlord and tenant matters, property management issues, and related disputes.
- Supporting the business with property aspects of corporate transactions and projects.
- Managing external counsel where specialist advice is required.
- Ensuring compliance with property and planning legislation, regulatory requirements, and internal governance.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, providing clear and practical advice.
About You
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 5 years PQE gained in commercial property law (private practice or in-house).
- Strong technical expertise in property transactions, landlord & tenant matters, and development projects.
- Commercially minded with the ability to balance legal risk against business objectives.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Confident working independently while being a collaborative team player.
