We are retained on behalf of a well-established, client-side infrastructure business to recruit an experienced
Estates Manager .
This is a key appointment within an established property team, offering the opportunity to take ownership of a diverse estate portfolio while working closely with senior leadership.
Reporting directly to the Head of Estates, you'll become a trusted second-in-command, supporting the strategic management of a national infrastructure portfolio and playing a pivotal role in the delivery of both operational and commercial estate objectives.
This is a broad, hands-on position that would suit an experienced estates professional who enjoys variety, takes ownership, and thrives in a commercially focused environment.
The Role You'll be responsible for a wide range of estate management activities, including:
- Managing a diverse client-side infrastructure property portfolio.
- Business rates management and cost control.
- Rent roll management and estate administration.
- Managing landlord and occupier relationships.
- Advising on landlord and tenant matters, including lease events and Notices to Quit.
- Providing day-to-day estates advice to internal stakeholders.
- Managing assignments, consents, licences and wider property transactions.
- Supporting estate strategy, portfolio optimisation and operational improvements.
- Working alongside external property advisers and legal teams where required.
- Deputising for the Head of Estates and supporting wider departmental objectives.
About You
We're looking for an experienced Estates Surveyor or Estates Manager who combines strong technical knowledge with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach.
You'll ideally have
- Experience managing commercial or infrastructure-related property portfolios.
- Strong knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation and estate management.
- Experience across lease events, portfolio management and property transactions.
- Excellent commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities within a busy, fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the confidence to take ownership and drive outcomes.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to build trusted relationships across the business.
