We are working with a growing independent property consultancy with an established and expanding presence across the Midlands, looking to appoint an Associate Director to join and help grow its Commercial Property Management team. This is a key senior hire for the business, driven by a combination of succession planning and continued growth, with the team having recently secured several new instructions and looking to build further momentum.
The role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a diverse commercial property portfolio, lead client relationships, and play an active role in the future growth and development of the department.
The Role
In this position, you will take a senior role within the Property Management team, managing a varied portfolio of commercial assets across the East Midlands and wider Midlands, while helping drive business growth and supporting junior colleagues. Working closely with leadership, you will be given significant autonomy and the opportunity to shape both client strategy and wider departmental growth.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a diverse commercial property portfolio across the East Midlands, wider Midlands, and selected national instructions
- Leading on key landlord and client relationships, providing high-quality strategic advice and day-to-day property management support
- Overseeing core property management functions including service charge management, rent collection, lease events, and asset performance
- Identifying opportunities to add value across client portfolios through proactive management and commercial advice
- Supporting business development activity and helping grow the team's client base and regional presence
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members where appropriate
- Working closely with senior leadership to influence the direction and growth of the department
About You
- Strong commercial property management experience, ideally within a consultancy environment
- Operating at Associate Director level currently, or a strong Associate / Senior Surveyor ready to step up
- Broad understanding of service charge, rent collection, and wider landlord & tenant matters
- Commercially minded, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of client relationships
- Ambitious and motivated, with an interest in helping grow a successful team and business
- MRICS preferred but not essential — strong practical experience will be considered equally
