We are working with a leading UK property owner looking to appoint an experienced Senior Property Manager to take responsibility for a diverse commercial property portfolio across the Midlands.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial property professional looking to make the move client-side, or someone already working in-house who wants greater autonomy and ownership of their portfolio.
The business has an established national property portfolio, with this newly created position offering the opportunity to take responsibility for assets across the Midlands.
The Role
You will take ownership of the day-to-day management of a mixed commercial portfolio, working closely with internal stakeholders, occupiers and external consultants to ensure assets are effectively managed and performing to their potential.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a diverse portfolio of industrial, office and retail properties across the Midlands.
- Overseeing landlord and tenant matters, including lease events, renewals, rent reviews and occupier relationships.
- Managing service charge budgets, expenditure and reconciliations.
- Identifying opportunities to improve asset performance, reduce costs and enhance portfolio value.
- Overseeing maintenance, compliance and planned works in conjunction with facilities management teams and external contractors.
- Building strong relationships with tenants, consultants and internal stakeholders.
- Supporting wider asset management initiatives and property strategy across the portfolio.
About You
We are looking for an experienced commercial property professional who can confidently manage a varied portfolio and operate with a high degree of autonomy.
Ideally, you will have:
- A strong background in commercial property management, ideally with industrial property experience.
- Experience managing multi-site commercial portfolios.
- Good knowledge of landlord and tenant matters, service charges and property legislation.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities to improve asset performance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- MRICS qualification would be advantageous, although relevant experience is equally important.
- Candidates from both property consultancy and client-side backgrounds will be considered.
What's on Offer?
- The opportunity to work directly for a leading commercial property owner.
- A varied regional portfolio covering industrial, office and retail assets.
- A high level of autonomy and responsibility for your own portfolio.
- A Midlands-based role, avoiding the need to commute to a distant head office.
- The opportunity to develop your career within an established property business.
