The opportunity

We are working with an established and growing firm of Chartered Surveyors to appoint a Residential Building Surveyor. The business has built a strong reputation across London and the South East, working with a range of high profile lenders, private clients and residential portfolios. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an experienced surveyor to their team. This role offers a good level of autonomy, a varied workload and the opportunity to work with both lending clients and private instructions.

The role

You will be responsible for carrying out a range of residential surveying and valuation services across North and East London. Your work will include:

  • Secured lending valuations
  • RICS Level 2 (Homebuyer) and Level 3 Building Surveys
  • Red Book valuations
  • Inspecting and reporting on a wide range of residential properties
  • Producing clear and accurate reports for lenders and private clients
  • Managing your own workload across a regional patch

You will be supported with modern technology, including tablet-based reporting systems, allowing you to work efficiently and manage your time effectively.

About you

We are interested in candidates who:

  • Are AssocRICS, MRICS or FRICS qualified
  • Have experience carrying out residential valuations and surveys
  • Are confident delivering Level 2 and Level 3 reports
  • Have experience working with lenders and private clients
  • Are comfortable managing their own diary and workload
  • Have strong communication and report writing skills
  • Experience with tools such as GoReport, Quest, Rightmove comparable tools or BCIS would be beneficial.
