The Role
Reporting to the board of directors, you will be the company's go-to advisor on all aspects of commercial property law. You will provide pragmatic, business-focused legal advice to support the management, acquisition, and development of the property portfolio, as well as broader commercial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of property related contracts, including leases, licences, acquisitions, disposals, and development agreements.
- Advising on landlord and tenant matters, property management issues, and related disputes.
- Supporting the business with property aspects of corporate transactions and projects.
- Managing external counsel where specialist advice is required.
- Ensuring compliance with property and planning legislation, regulatory requirements, and internal governance.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, providing clear and practical advice.
